Family-owned La Gare still keeps in mind its founding principles: fresh local ingredients, top French and European cooking techniques, and making everything served in the restaurant from scratch.

Our hosts are available Wednesday through Sunday from 8 AM to take your reservations at 707-528-4355.

Reminder

Once again, La Gare will close for two weeks this summer so we can work on the property, and have a little down time. We will close on June 30th and reopen on July 14th.

Summertime Treat

Along with arrival of hot summer weather comes an abundance of fresh fruit, including key limes. That means Roger's amazing Key Lime Pie is back on the dessert menu. 

For those of you who know and love it, be sure to come by soon and enjoy this mouthwatering treat. And, if you've never tried it don't miss this opportunity, for when summer ends, so does this special!

The Press Democrat recently profiled Sonoma County's growing goat ranching market, and Roger contributed his insight and recipes.  One of the article's featured recipes, a spicy and sweet Goat Curry Stew, is on our menu from July 23 to 31. Read the article here

Chef Roger is committed to using locally raised ingredients in his dishes as often as possible. A favorite new ingredient is goat.

We're Gluten-Free Friendly

Whenever possible, we have tried to accommodate our customer's dietary needs, and have always had many gluten-free options available. With an increased number of requests for gluten-free menu items, we created a new "Gluten-Free Friendly Menu." 

Just let us know when you make your reservation, or when you arrived for dinner, that you'd like the gluten-free menu. Check out our gluten-free menu.

Wine Update

We are excited to add the 2008 Joseph Jewell Sauvignon Blanc Redwood Ranch to our list, and we'll be serving by-the-glass starting in July. Joseph Jewell is owned by two co-workers from Gary Farrell Winery. 

The Redwood Ranch vineyard is owned by Jacqueline's dear friend, Gayle. Jacqueline's recent Team Training fundraising ride for leukemia and lymphoma was to honor Gayle and her challenges with lymphoma. 

We are thrilled to be able to support Gayle and offer our customers this incredible wine.
